Vijender Sharma Elected as President: Vijender Sharma and Rakesh Bhalla were chosen to serve as the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI-CMAPresident )'s and Vice presidents, respectively, for the fiscal year 2022–2023 during elections to the organization's Central Council. A new president was chosen. Vijender Sharma Elected as President Picture: Vijender Sharma Elected as President In the previous term, 2021–2022, Vijender Sharma served as the Institute's Vice President, CMA Rakesh Bhalla Central Council Member, and Chair of the Direct Taxes Committee. The cost and management accountancy professions are regulated in India by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI-CMA), a statutory body established by an Act of Parliament. Experts in costing, valuation, the 2016 Insolvency, and Bankruptcy Code, and the Goods and Services (GST) Acts make up its qualified members. Worldwide, there are more than 60000 qualified members. The second CMA of Tricity to arrive at this location is Rakesh Bhalla. In Chandigarh, he holds the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at a sizable manufacturing firm. Rakesh Bhalla, who has experience in the fields of accounting, costing, and direct and indirect taxation, as well as extensive exposure to systems and audit, was also elected chairman of the Institute's Northern Council (2011–12). CMA Vijender Sharma is a graduate of law and a fellow member of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India. He has been an Insolvency Professional since January 2017 and a leading practicing cost accountant since 1998. His dynamism is rooted in his extensive 22-year experience in a variety of fields, including financial, cost, and management accounting, internal audit, management consulting, forensic audit, insolvency, and liquidation, among others. He was first chosen to serve on the Institute's Council from 2015 to 2019 and then again from 2019 to 23. He previously held the positions of Vice President of the Institute (2021–2022), Chairman of the Professional Development Committee (2020–2020 & 2021–2022), Chairman of the International Affairs Committee (2020–2020), and Chairman of the NIRC (2012-13 & 2014-15). CMA Rakesh Bhalla is a graduate of commerce and a fellow member of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India. He has extensive business experience, and he currently serves as SML ISUZU Ltd.'s chief financial officer. He has written numerous articles that have benefited taxation professionals and is an expert in both direct and indirect taxes. He has been chosen to serve on the Institute's Council for the years 2019 to 23. He previously held the positions of Chairman of NIRC and Chairman of Direct Taxation (2021–2022). (2010-11 & 2013-14).
