Venezuelan Juan Vicente Perez Mora, World's Oldest Man, Dies At 114

Officials and family members have confirmed that Juan Vicente Perez Mora, a 114-year-old Venezuelan who was recognized by Guinness World Records as the world's oldest man in 2022, passed away on Tuesday.

President Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela declared the 114-year-old Juan Vicente Perez Mora's passing and passage into everlasting rest on the social networking site X.

Perez was certified officially by Guinness as alive oldest man on February 4, 2022, at 112 years and 253 days age, as per the statistics. This was the formal confirmation.

As of 2022, he was responsible for forty-one grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and twelve great-great-grandchildren. He was a father of eleven children.

On May 27, 1909, in the village of El Cobre, in the Andean region of the state of Tachira, the farmer known as Tio Vicente was born. He was the tenth sibling out of eight.

According to a Guinness statement from 2022, "he started working with his father and brothers in agriculture at the age of five years old and assisted with sugar cane and coffee harvesting." "He also helped with the harvesting of coffee."

Perez went on to become a sheriff, managing family and land issues while continuing to work in agriculture. He's also had experience farming.
