Nuclear Submarine Agreement :-
The historic UK and Australia nuclear submarine deal will assist Australia in obtaining a high-tech submarine, similar to Britain's Astute Class, which will cost almost £2 billion each.

The conventionally armed nuclear-powered submarine will be a part of the AUKUS defense cooperation to counter China's rising threat.

According to sources, the United Kingdom is willing to build a submarine for Australia at Cumbria to secure billions of pounds and thousands of job openings for citizens. The AUKUS defense cooperation aims to have Australia operating a new type of submarine by the mid-2040s. However, as per the Nuclear submarine agreement, a British-built submarine based on current designs might be dispatched down the water as soon as possible. According to experts, the crew will be able to gain the requisite expertise to command a nuclear submarine in at least 15 years. Besides, the Royal Navy and the Royal Australian Navy have already begun training on the British nuclear fleet. Australia would also need to create a submarine harbor capable of keeping a nuclear submarine for months. Adding to it, a Royal Navy officer stated, “This is going to require some time. It's equivalent to handing the keys of a Formula One car to a family man driving a Ford car”.
