Tribal Women Encouraged by President Murmu to Reap Benefits of Government Scheme

President Droupadi Murmu, who is currently on a three-day visit to Jharkhand, emphasized the importance of preserving the cultural identity of the Scheduled Tribe community. In her address, she praised the tribal society for presenting ideal examples in various fields, including the absence of the dowry system. 


President Murmu also urged tribal women to take advantage of government schemes and participate in the development of the region. She commended the progress made by tribal women in Jharkhand towards women's empowerment and encouraged them to continue their efforts.

During an event in Khunti, President Droupadi Murmu highlighted the progress made by tribal women in Jharkhand towards women's empowerment, emphasizing the need to preserve the distinct cultural identity of tribals. 


"Come forward and take the benefits of government schemes which are run for your welfare," she urged the self-help groups in attendance. President Murmu also commended the society of tribals in Jharkhand, stating that it is "free of evil practices such as dowry". 

Her speech not only emphasized the importance of cultural preservation but also encouraged tribal women to participate in government schemes for their own welfare.


During her visit to Jharkhand, President Droupadi Murmu emphasized the importance of preserving the cultural identity of the Scheduled Tribe community. She also pointed out that despite being well-educated, many people in society have not been able to give up the evil practice of dowry.

Murmu urged these women to recognize their talent and move forward with confidence, encouraging them to continue making strides in both sports and the economy.


She highlighted the pivotal role of women in energizing the state's rural economy. She urged for greater involvement of women in self-help groups and emphasized the importance of providing employment opportunities through skill development. 

"Therefore, it is very important to connect more and more women with self-help groups in Jharkhand and provide employment through skill development," she stated. Her words further reinforced the need for women's empowerment and skill enhancement to drive economic growth in the region.
