Two separate incidents of violence have rocked Haryana, leaving the state in mourning. In Karnal's Jhanjhari village, a 65-year-old man named Jai Bhagwan met a tragic end when four unidentified assailants mercilessly shot him dead at his Kariyana shop. This horrifying incident unfolded on a peaceful Sunday morning, with the victim sustaining multiple bullet injuries and succumbing to his wounds on the spot.

Authorities suspect that an old enmity between two groups may be the motive behind this gruesome act. The police are actively pursuing the culprits, with two of them already identified as Naresh Anjanthali and Rahul Mundhari. A case has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including murder, criminal conspiracy, and criminal intimidation.

To aid in the investigation, law enforcement is meticulously reviewing closed-circuit television camera footage, hoping to shed light on the perpetrators. Disturbingly, preliminary findings suggest that these two feuding groups have clashed repeatedly over the past five years, leaving a trail of violence and tragedy.

Jai Bhagwan's family has also been no stranger to violence, having survived a previous attack in December 2019. Furthermore, Goldy, the victim's son, faced allegations in the murder of Pintu alias Vikas from a rival group, who met a similar fate in January 2019. The roots of this enmity trace back to the murder of Suresh alias Babli, the ex-Sarpanch of Anjanthali, in July 2018, further complicating an already tragic series of events.

In a separate incident, the tranquility of Sonepat's Rohana village was shattered as a 19-year-old nursing student named Khushbu was shot dead outside her home. The unidentified assailants targeted her as she stepped outside, leaving her lifeless.

Despite immediate medical attention, Khushbu was declared brought dead at Kharkhoda hospital.
