Sudha Murthy:-
Have you remembered a story you might have read in your High school “ How I Taught My Grandmother”, written by Sudha Murthy Mam?  The life story of Sudha Murthy is an inspiration not only for women but for men too. A female who struggles at every stage of her life to achieve her dreams and her gender never is the hurdle to her success.  Sudha Murthy Sudha Murthy Early Life The life Story of Sudha Murthy began in Shiggaon, Haveru in Karnataka. She was born on August 19, 1951, into a Deshastha Madhva Brahmin family.  Her father Mr. R.H. Kulkarni was a surgeon and her mother was a teacher Mrs. Vimla Kulkarni. She was also raised by her maternal grandparents too.  Her first book was the result of the childhood experience she had with her grandmother. Education Her education was a roller coaster ride for her. The life story of Sudha Murthy is not complete without her college struggle. She attended B.V.B College of Engineering & Technology and completed her graduation in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.  The college is renamed KLE Technological University. Her post-graduation is from the Indian Institute of Science in Computer Science. In one of her interviews, she revealed that she got admission to the college on three conditions, that she will wear a sari in college, she won't visit the canteen and she is not going to talk to any male in the college. She was the only female of 600 male students. Sudha Murthy Sudha Murthy Career After completing her education, she started hunting for jobs and became the ever first female employee who got hired by the TATA Engineering and Locomotive Company (TELCO). The life Story of Sudha Murthy has many tails to tell, here as well she won the position as they only hire male employees on which she had written a postcard to the then-chairperson JRD Tata stating “ After posting the postcard I forgot about it. A pleasant surprise awaited. A telegram soon arrived asking to appear for an interview with a promise of reimbursement of first-class fare both ways." So, imagine how courageous the life story of Sudha Murthy is.  She got her job but later after she got married to Mr. Narayan Murthy, she had to leave the job and shift to Pune, as he decided to find Infosys there. When she was leaving the company she last met with JRD Tata and informed him she is going to quit, he responded “ You fought so much for the job and now you are quitting?” She told him that her husband has his dreams and he is going to work on an adventure at Infosys. The Love Bond Between Mr. Narayan Murthy and Sudha Murthy Sudha Murthy Sudha Murthy Her life was great when she met the love of her life, Narayan Murthy during her work at TELCO. They both became friends first and later decided to be partners for life.  A love story without problems is not possible I guess, her father was not happy with Mr. Murthy's current position and later he became the general manager of Patni Computer in Mumbai. This was the turning point, they got married on 10 February 1978 at Murthy's house  They believed in equality and it's visible in their actions. The cost of their marriage was split between both of them in half and it was 400 each. They have an elder daughter Akshita Murthy who is the wife of current UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and a boy Rohan Murthy. Story of Infosys Like others, Mr. Murthy has big dreams and he wanted to establish his own firm and this is a challenge for them. Later, Sudha Mam being his backbone gave him 3 years to make his dream come true and she promised that she will take care of the household. The life story of Sudha Murthy is an amazing box of twists and turns, love and support she had for herself and her family. Her Achievement She can be a role model for anyone, a gold medalist in college, a courageous woman to break all norms and later she occupied herself in social service too. She is a writer as well. 2000: For achievement in the field of literature and social work Ojaswini Award 2001: For excellent social work in the year 2000 Raja-Lakshmi Award 2004: For Social Work By Sri Raja-Lakshmi Foundation in Chennai R.K. She never bound herself and she did the same for her life partner. Infosys is her husband’s dream and she supported him today it's leading the sector. She herself started social service and created the Infosys foundation which supports people who are underprivileged. In the era of different heroes, she is the one who stands out as she gives anyone the courage to fight for their dreams, create opportunities for themselves and use every bit of it.  “If you try to please everyone, you will please no one. It is impossible to lead your life for others' happiness.” Sudha Murthy For more updates keep visiting our website www.topstoriesworld.com  where we provide unbiased, true and top stories of the world.
