Rs 8,500 Crore Projects to Be Launched by PM Modi in Assam on The Occasion of Bihu

It is a proud moment for the state of Assam as the Assamese CM, Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the 1-day visit of PM Narendra Modi to Assam in which he will launch development projects in Assam worth Rs 8,500 Crores.

Details of The Projects to Be Launched
PM Modi will be inaugurating the AIIMS Guwahati campus which has been built on a budget of Rs. 1123 crores. AIIMS Guwahati has been designed to accommodate 750 beds and will have 100 annual seats for the course of MBBS. After this, the CM also informed that the PM will be inaugurating 3 other colleges located in Nagaon, Nalbari and Kokrajhar via virtual mode.
Health cards to 1.1 crore citizens will also be distributed virtually by the PM. By virtue of this card, people will receive an annual health cover of 5 lakhs per year. In the field of health, the PM will also be laying the foundation block of a multi-speciality hospital which has been set up in the IIT Guwahati campus.
Other Plans for The PM’s Visit
In a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, PM Modi will be witnessing 11,000 Bihu dancers performing together on the occasion of Bihu at the Sarusajai Stadium. With this, the state of Assam will be registering a place for itself in the Guinness Book of World Records. PM Modi will also be gracing the occasion of the platinum jubilee of Guwahati HC. The event will take place at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra.
