Ravi Bishnoi's standout performance in India's T20I series against Australia equaled Ravichandran Ashwin's all-time India record. With nine wickets, Bishnoi secured the Player of the Series award, matching Ashwin's feat and becoming the first Indian spinner with 10 consecutive T20I matches with wickets. India triumphed 4-1.

In the recently concluded India vs Australia T20I series, Ravi Bishnoi emerged as a standout performer, mirroring the feats of veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. His exceptional display with nine wickets throughout the series not only earned him the Player of the Series award but also saw him equal Ashwin's remarkable all-time India record.

Bishnoi, a young leg-spinner, showcased his prowess in the fifth and final T20I held at Bengaluru's M Chinnaswamy Stadium, contributing significantly to India's six-run victory. His consistent performance across five games, including a three-wicket haul for 32 runs in the 2nd T20I, placed him ahead as the leading wicket-taker, surpassing Axar Patel by three scalps.

This remarkable feat of nine wickets equaled Ashwin's historical achievement in a bilateral T20I series against Sri Lanka in 2016. Bishnoi's rapid ascent to this milestone after seven years speaks volumes about his skill and potential as a rising star in Indian cricket.

Adding to his laurels, Bishnoi also carved his name in history as the first Indian spinner to secure wickets in ten consecutive T20I matches, marking a significant achievement in his career. However, the record for most consecutive T20I wickets for India remains with pacer Ashish Nehra.

India's victory in the T20I series against Australia, sealing it 4-1, showcased their dominance despite a setback in the third match. The team's resilience and standout performances from players like Bishnoi contributed to their triumph. The nail-biting finale witnessed tense moments, with Arshdeep Singh defending ten runs in the final over, securing India's win.
