In an interview with Newsweek, a New York magazine, Prime Minister Modi covered a wide range of controversial subjects. These included the Quad grouping and relations with China and Pakistan.

The inauguration of the Ayodhya Ram Temple was another subject that Prime Minister Modi mentioned.

His life (Lord Ram) created the concepts and values that form our culture. His name echoes in every nook of our sacred space. In light of this, I traveled to the locations where it is said that Shri Ram's footsteps can still be seen throughout the eleven days of a special ritual that I saw. He said that his trips across the country had shown how sacred Shri Ram is to each and every person.

Earlier last year, Prime Minister Modi presided at the Ram Temple's dedication ceremony. The extravagant ceremony was attended by thousands of dignitaries. Nevertheless, despite being invited, the opposition did not attend the ceremony. They said that the temple event was being used by the BJP for political purposes.

According to Prime Minister Modi, who was cited in the magazine, the Ram Temple is the result of decades of devotion and selflessness.

The nation came together via Shri Ram's historic journey back to his homeland. It was the product of centuries of selflessness and labor. He went on to say that by taking part in the ceremony, he would be showing support for the 1.4 billion people in the country who had been waiting for Ram Lalla's return for generations.
