Five Indian army men were lost to an
unprecedented terrorist encounter in Rajouri, Jammu & Kashmir yesterday
(5th March 2023). Today, Rajnath Singh, the Defence Minister of India, is all
set to visit Rajouri to personally look into the status of security covers in
the area and make observations regarding the terrorist encounter in Rajouri.

of Rajnath Singh’s Visit to Rajouri
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will be
accompanied by Army Chief General, Mr. Manoj Pande. He will partake along with
army officials in planning the counter-attacks against targeted terrorist
groups. Earlier this morning, Lt. General Upendra Dwivedi had also visited the
spot to oversee the safety arrangements for the arriving Minister and the
army’s operation against the terrorists. The operation has been named
"Trinetra."
Details
of The Casualties in The Terrorist Encounter in Rajouri So Far
As per sources, 5 Indian army men have succumbed to injuries caused by an IED explosion by terrorists. The martyrs, as per details released by the Indian army, are as follows: “Havildar Neelam Singh from Akhnoor, Naik Arvind Kumar from Palampur, Lance Naik Ruchin Singh Rawat from Gairsain in Uttarakhand, Paratrooper Siddhant Chettri from Darjeeling, and Paratrooper Pramod Negi from Sirmaur in Himachal Pradesh.”
One terrorist has been gunned down,
while another has sustained injuries in a fresh clash with the army this
morning. Operation Trinetra is expected to reach the roots of the terrorist
encounter in Rajouri and the militant groups that are causing unrest in Jammu
and Kashmir soon.
