Intellectual Bankruptcy': Ashok Gehlot's dig at Sachin Pilot on demand for student compensation in paper leaks

intellectual bankruptcy:-

Rajasthan's Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot, has restated his government's commitment to taking action against those involved in the high-profile Paper leak case. He indirectly criticized former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot, stating that Pilot's demand for compensation for affected candidates reflects a lack of intellectual depth.

Gehlot's remarks came in response to Pilot's call for compensation to be provided to the impacted candidates and for the reconstitution of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC).

Some leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have also supported these demands.

Sachin Pilot also took part in a foot march against corruption and the paper leak case, aiming to vocalize his requests.

During the inauguration of a modern bus terminal at the Jaipur central bus stand, Sindhi camp, Gehlot questioned the rationale behind demanding compensation for leaked papers.

He labeled such a demand as "intellectual bankruptcy." He argued that the opposition, lacking other issues to target the Congress government in the state, has resorted to dragging the paper leak case into the spotlight.

Gehlot challenged the feasibility of compensating the 26 lakh people who took the exam, stating that the papers were leaked. He emphasized that his government has taken decisive action by enacting laws and imprisoning the accused, a step that no other state has taken despite multiple paper leak incidents.

In summary, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot of Rajasthan reaffirmed his determination to address the paper leak case. He criticized Sachin Pilot's demand for compensation, considering it a sign of intellectual bankruptcy. Gehlot maintained that his government has taken strict measures to tackle the issue and highlighted the opposition's focus on the case due to the absence of other pressing matters.
