Amidst the grandeur of the G20 event held in Delhi, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has raised concerns about India's reality being hidden from international guests.

In a tweet posted during the first day of the G20 summit, Gandhi asserted that there is no need to conceal the plight of India's impoverished citizens and animals.

The Congress party has consistently criticized the government on various aspects of the G20 summit, with Rahul Gandhi's primary objection being the concealment of the capital's poverty.

The party went further by sharing a video highlighting the living conditions in a slum named Coolie Camp, located in Delhi's Vasant Vihar area. This attempt to shield the slum from public view ahead of the G20 summit sparked outrage and debate.

Another alarming claim made by Congress involved the mistreatment of street dogs in Delhi as the city prepared to host international leaders. Congress released a video alleging that these dogs were being cruelly dragged by their necks and placed in cages without food or water, subjecting them to extreme stress and fear. The video called for justice for these voiceless victims.

The G20 arrangements also faced criticism from Congress leaders, including Jairam Ramesh, who claimed that India did not allow the media to question US President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Modi after their bilateral meeting. Ramesh cited President Biden's team, stating that India had not permitted questions from the media, contrasting this with Biden's willingness to take questions during his visit to Vietnam.

Additionally, Congress leader Supriya Shrinate questioned the cultural sensitivity of the event, pointing out that an odd choice of music, a classical rendition of Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You," played as G20 leaders arrived in India. She also raised concerns about the discomfort displayed by the head of state from Oman during a cultural function.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge expressed his disappointment at not being invited to the G20 dinner, deeming it "low-level politics" that the central government should have avoided. Several Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that the government's decision did not show respect for the leader of a significant portion of India's population.
