The second trailer of Citadel provides a glimpse into the new series starring Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden that premieres on Amazon Prime Video on April 23, 2023.

 The Deets

The 2:14 trailer explores the themes of love, loyalty, deception, and betrayal, keeping the viewers intrigued, while the movie builds up to its climax with heart-pounding action sequences and stunning cinematography. This espionage thriller, created by Josh Appelbaum and Bryan Oh, also stars Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville.

The official synopsis of the film on Amazon Prime Video reads, “ Eight years ago, Citadel, an independent global spy agency, was destroyed by a new syndicate, Manticore. With their memories wiped, elite agents Mason Kane (Richard Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) barely escaped with their lives. Eight years later, Mason’s former colleague, Bernard Orlick (Stanley Tucci), asks for his help to prevent Manticore from establishing a new world order.”

Priyanka and Richards' mind-blowing chemistry has already become the talk of the town, especially on Instagram. Fan pages are hyping up the new trailer, while netizens are reacting to it with, “They are on fire. Love them both, I simply cannot wait to watch this show.” and “Chemistry (fire emojis).” A person also wrote, “Their chemistry is just (heart eyes emojis).”

Priyanka, who plays the role of an agent named Nadia Sinh, spoke about her character in an interview with Vanity Fair magazine, “Being cool was the most difficult hurdle for me since I'm a goofball." This was a physically and emotionally challenging concert, but it was a lot of pleasure to be a part of. It blew my head. This has never been done on television before, and the social experiment and chutzpah of it were both thrilling to me.”

While Citadel will premiere unrestricted in over 240 countries and territories, work on its Indian installment, starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan, has already commenced.
