NIA arrests the mastermind bomber of Bengaluru cafe blast, from Kolkata

Two individuals from Kolkata were arrested on Friday by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is a major development in their investigation into the explosion that happened at a cafe in Bengaluru.

Mussavir Hussain Shazeb and Adbul Matheen Taha were arrested after being found hiding near the city. According to the NIA, Taha was in charge of the IED's implantation in the cafe, and Shazib was in charge of its preparation, detonation, and eventual legal avoidance.

Government intelligence services, the National Investigation Agency (NIA), and state police units from West Bengal, Telangana, Kerala, and Karnataka are also involved in the operation. At least ten people were injured when an IED went out in the popular Whitefield eatery Ramesh waram Cafe on March 1. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has offered a reward of 10 lakh rupees for information that can be used to identify and arrest the perpetrator. The suspect was seen going throughout Karnataka in many pictures that had been earlier made public by the federal government.

A photo of the accused has been made public by the NIA.

On top of that, there was a bomber's photo that the agency had provided. The CCTV camera of the famous Ramesh waram Cafe in Bengaluru's Brookfield neighbourhood captured the sight of the bomber holding a bag.

According to the images shared by the NIA, the bomber is clad entirely in black, including his jeans, shoes, and cap.

NIA stressed in the statement that "any information leading to his (bomber) arrest shall be rewarded."

Three days before NIA) announced the reward; the case investigation was handed over by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to the anti-terror agency.

Following their investigation at the bomb site on March 3, the matter was transferred to the NIA. Several people were hurt in an explosion that occurred at a cafe in Bengaluru's Whitefield district on March 1 during the popular lunch hour.

In regards to the cafe explosion, the Bengaluru Police had already lodged a complaint under the explosives substances act and the severe Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

An explosion occurred at 1:00 PM on March 1. After reviewing the cafe's surveillance footage, the authorities arrested a person they saw with a bag. An IED device with a timer was allegedly utilized to set off the explosion, according to the police investigation.
