CJI Chandrachud did not hold back from criticizing the legal education system as well. He highlighted the point that the CLAT examination which is a prerequisite for admission into the National Law Universities is only conducted in English language. This makes legal education inaccessible for students who have studied in non English-medium schools. Further, CJI Chandrachud has only laid stress upon usage of simple English terms rather than critical English and Latin jargons in legal English so that the language barrier is removed.
