CUET “The number of universities taking the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) has crossed 200 today, up from just 90 universities taking the test last year”, a senior UGC official commented. Last year, The UGC declared in March that all central universities would conduct undergraduate admissions through a common entrance test and not based on Class 12 scores. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is scheduled between May 21 and May 31. In most cases, the university undergraduate admissions process will be finished by July 2023 and the new academic session is likely to start on 1st August 2023. However, in 2022, the National Testing Agency had to cancel the CUET undergraduate exam at some places since it was affected by several technical difficulties. Despite the fact that students were told of the cancellation the night before the exam, many students had to return back from test centers. The Common exam, which has received 14.9 lakh registrations, serves as the standard examination for undergraduate admissions across all central universities. With more applicants than the JEE-Mains, it is currently the second most popular admission exam in the country.
