According to various sources, ISRO has readied LVM3 to perform Second Commercial Mission in a span of 5 months, the last being launched on October 23, 2022.

The official reports from ISRO state the date and time for LVM3 to perform Second Commercial Mission is set on March 26, 2023, at 0900 hours IST. The rocket will launch from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota.

The launch is based on a mission agreed upon with M/s. Network Access Associates Limited, United Kingdom, or the OneWeb Group Company, to successfully send 72 satellites to Low-Earth Orbits.

The first set (involving 36) of the 72 total satellites was launched previously on October 23 last year under the LVM3-M2/OneWeb India-1 mission.

According to the official website of ISRO, the 36 OneWeb Gen-1 satellites will have a total mass of 5,805 kg and will be put into a 450 km circular orbit.

LVM3 has a rich history of launching satellites; the most notable ones are Chandrayaan-1 in 2008 and Mars Orbiter Spacecraft in 2013, which reached the surface of the Moon and Mars, respectively. The mission involving LVM3 to Perform Second Commercial Mission will be the sixth flight of the rocket in its history.
