coronation of her son, King Charles, the world of the Royal Family seems to

Delay
in King Charle’s Coronation Explained
Royal protocols provide for a time gap of
at least 1 year between the death of the former monarch and the coronation of
the new monarch of Britain. It explains the reason why King Charles has yet not
been crowned after the death of Queen Elizabeth.

followed during the coronation of Queen Elizabeth. She was crowned in June
1953, a year after the death of her father, in February 1952.

Charles must always have his black outfit as a part of his bag and baggage
while traveling as a part of royal protocol so that he is ready to attend
a funeral at any given point in time.
