Plea Dismissed by Supreme Court:-
On Friday, the Supreme Court responds on Google's plea to modify the court's order passed last month and instructed the tech giant to raise its concerns with the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT). On 19th January, the court turned down Google's plea to overturn an NCLAT decision that rejected suspending the Competition Commission of India's (CCI) allegations and ordered fining the tech giant ₹ 1337.76 crores. During the hearing on 10th February, the Chief Justice of India clearly stated to the senior advocate for Google that no more explanation is necessary in this case. “The court would not alter anything and he can go and defend everything before NCLAT”, Chief Justice added.

The bench stated that there was no purpose in changing the order because it was given in open court. As per the 19th January order, the top court asserted that “We are desisting from entering a conclusion on the merits of the opposing submissions which have been urged on behalf of the contesting parties” and further allowed Google one week to deposit 10% of ₹ 1337 crore penalty that CCI had levied on it.
