In a cricket spectacle at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Glenn Maxwell's phenomenal performance left Australia in awe. It was a rather unusual timing for cricket fans back home, with most of them asleep as Australia's batting struggled at 49/4 against Afghanistan around 7-7:30 PM IST.

However, when Maxwell walked into bat, the game took an extraordinary turn. By 8:30 PM IST, Australia stood at 91/7, and in Australia, it was 2 AM. The die-hard cricket enthusiasts who had stayed awake witnessed history in the making.

Glenn Maxwell, despite battling severe cramps, tore through the Afghanistan bowling attack. At one point, he couldn't even run, but he chose to stand and deliver, smashing boundaries and sixes with ease. Maxwell etched his name in the annals of cricket history by becoming the first batter to score a double century in an ODI run-chase. His extraordinary innings included 21 fours and 10 sixes.
