From Innocence to Infamy: The Story of Shaista Parveen:-
Shaista Parveen, the wife of notorious ganster and politician Atiq Ahmad, has recently come under scrutiny by the Uttar Pradesh Police after a letter purportedly written by her surfaced, accusing Minister Nand Gopal Gupta of orchestrating the murder of Umesh Pal and conspiring against Atiq. Atiq was shot dead in police custody, and two days later, his son Asad was killed in a police encounter.
It was rumored that Shaista Parveen might turn herself in during Atiq's funeral, but she is currently evading the authorities. She is now on the most-wanted list of the UP Police, and a reward of ₹50,000 has been announced for any information about her whereabouts.
Shaista Parveen's association with Atiq's gang began after she married him in 1996. Before that, she led a completely different life and had no association with any illegal activities.
Since 2009, four legal cases have been filed in Prayagraj under the name of Shaista. These include three instances of fraudulent activity and one instance of homicide, specifically the murder of Umesh Pal.
According to reports, Shaista played a significant role in the planning and implementation of the killing of Umesh Pal, making her one of the primary suspects in the case.
Moreover, when Atiq was in jail, Shaista took an active role in running his syndicate, earning her the nickname of "godmother" in the gang.
Shaista's letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accuses Minister Nand Gopal Gupta of being the key conspirator in Umesh Pal's murder and alleges that Atiq and Ashraf were falsely implicated. She wrote that if the CM did not intervene, her husband, brother-in-law, and sons would be killed. Shaista has joined different political parties over the years, most recently the BSP, but Mayawati decided not to field her in the mayoral election.
With Shaista on the run and possibly observing iddhah following her husband's death, the Police may find it difficult to locate her. Despite her association with Atiq's gang and her alleged involvement in criminal activities, Shaista's early life shows that circumstances and choices can lead people down very different paths.
