On February 10, Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman criticized Congress saying that individuals who accused them of corruption should first cleanse their mouths with Dettol. “Arre Corruption ke upar aap, aap baat kar rahe ho. FM attacked the Rajasthan government further saying, “Bhaiya, Rajasthan mein gadbad hai, pichle saal ka budget iss saal padh rahe hain. Mistakes do happen to everyone, but I pray to God that such a circumstance never arises in front of anyone that necessitates someone to read the past year's budget”. She was responding to a big mistake in which Rajasthan Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot read out parts from the previous budget rather than Budget 2023-24. However, Gehlot finally confessed his error and stated that only the first page of the budget was inaccurate.
