Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is anticipated to make a significant impression at the forthcoming Auto Expo in Greater Noida next week, with vehicles on display. The South Korean automaker will use the top automobile show to disclose the prices of its flagship electric vehicle, the lONIQ 5, and bookings are already open. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is built on specialised E-GMP skateboard architecture and has received worldwide acclaim. It is expected to be priced lower in India than its brother, the Kia EV6, at roughly Rs. 45-50 lakh (ex-showroom). Since December 21, 2022, reservations have been available. The Electric-Global Modular Platform serves as the foundation for the Ioniq 5. (E-GMP). The EV has two battery options: 58 kWh and 72.6 kWh, with a range of up to 480 km (WLTP cycle). The standard model is powered by a single electric motor with a 165 BHP and 350 Nm output. The dual-motor variant is touted to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds and has 298 BHP and 605 Nm. Hyundai will sell the bigger battery pack in India, with an ARAI-certified range of 631 kilometres and a rear-mounted electric motor. The Ioniq 5 also supports 800V rapid charging, allowing it to charge the battery from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes. Hyundai will also display the Ioniq 6 electric vehicle at the 2023 Auto Show. It has 2 battery choices and may be configured with a single or twin motor. The single motor configuration with the 53-kWh battery has 225 BHP as well as 350 Nm of torque. It has a WLTP range of 429 km, but the bigger 77.4 kWh battery is stated to have a range of 614 km. The AWD Ioniq 6 with twin motors offer 316 BHP and 605 Nm of torque, and a range of 583 km.
