Russia-Ukraine war:-

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has escalated, with Ukraine increasing its attacks on Russian-controlled areas, particularly in the Crimean Peninsula, which was annexed by Russia in 2014.

The potential transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine has raised concerns about NATO's role in the conflict, as stated by Russia's Ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov.

In a statement published on Monday, Antonov questioned the capability of Ukraine to operate the F-16s, citing a lack of infrastructure, pilots, and maintenance personnel. He also expressed apprehension about the involvement of foreign "volunteers" in controlling NATO airfields from which American fighters might operate.

US President Joe Biden recently expressed support for training programs that would enable Ukrainian pilots to operate F-16 fighter jets. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reassured Biden that the aircraft would not be used to launch attacks on Russian territory.

Antonov warned that any Ukrainian strikes on Crimea would be considered an attack on Russia. He emphasized the importance of the United States fully understanding the potential response from Russia.
