Liz Truss:-
When Liz Truss became the Prime Minister of Britain, she and most of her members in Downing Street were speaking the same language of China being a "threat" to the national security of the country. Months after her resignation, Liz Truss is still standing tall on her ideas. Liz Truss, addressing a meeting in Tokyo, laid stress on the G7 countries and its economic allies in Europe to act as an "economic NATO' to counter China. Liz Truss Liz Truss She said "The G7 should act as an economic NATO, collectively defending our prosperity. If the economy of a partner is being targeted by an aggressive regime we should act to support them. All for one and one for all.” She also condemned the Russian invasion of Ukraine and argued if steps are not taken now, we could possibly see a similar annexation of Taiwan by China. According to the former PM of Britain, a proactive "economic and military package" should be devised by the International community for Taiwan before it's too late.  "When it comes to China, a failure to act now could cost us dearly in the long run," said Truss, who served the country for only 49 days.  Liz Truss Liz Truss Truss's anti-China policy is far from being a secret now. With Rishi Sunak-led government releasing the budget next month, it will be interesting to see how Liz Truss's words impact the numbers on the document.  Rishi Sunak, however, after taking over from Truss, has maintained his stand on China and termed it as “a systemic challenge.”  With people inside the party pushing the PM to become stricter in its policies against China and increase the defense budget, the speech of Liz Truss might act as a catalyst in these critical hours.  For more updates keep visiting our website www.topstoriesworld.com where we provide unbiased, true, and top stories of the world.
