Disturbing Conditions for Ukraine Children Returned from Russia:-
Hopeful Reunion
After being forcibly taken by Russian forces from the regions of Kherson and Kharkiv, children from Ukraine have finally been reunited with their families. According to the humanitarian organization Save Ukraine, a painstaking operation spanning weeks has resulted in 31 children returning to Ukraine from Russia. These children had been taken from occupied areas during the ongoing war.
Founder of Save Ukraine, Mykola Kuleba, highlights the significance and challenges of the fifth rescue mission nearing completion. He revealed that the number of children successfully returned from Russia was notable, and emphasized the dire conditions they experienced, stating that they were "living with rats and cockroaches." Kuleba further expressed disappointment that efforts to locate and reunite these children with their parents in Ukraine were not being made by Russia.
"Some of these children had to change their locations multiple times within just five months, and many of them reported living in appalling conditions
As per Mykola Kuleba, the children were forcibly taken by Russian forces from the occupied regions of Kharkiv and Kherson in Ukraine, with the Russian authorities referring to the locations as "summer camps." Following the invasion by Moscow in February of the previous year, Ukraine has estimated that close to 19,500 children have been forcibly taken to Russia. Kyiv has strongly denounced these actions as "illegal deportations." However, Moscow, which holds control over parts of Ukraine's east and south, has denied allegations of child abduction, claiming that the children were relocated for their Own safety.
