Cloning of “Super Cows” is a huge Breakthrough in the Chinese Dairy Industry Written by: Anukriti Raj  Chinese scientists has cloned three super cows that can able to produce 1.7 times more milk than an usual cow. It has proved to bring a drastic change in the dairy industry in China. The cloning of identical DNA’s (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) of highly productive claves results in the creation of super cows. The scientists at Northwest University of Agricultural and Forestry Science and Technology were breeding calves, that are natives of the Ningxia region, for weeks, which gave the final results on January 23,2023.    Super Cows "What is Cloning?  Cloning is a natural as well as artificial process of replicating identical DNA’s and breeding together to convert into an organism. The cloned creature posses certain extra characteristics than the original breed.  The “Super Cows” are a breakthrough in the Chinese dairy industry. The cloning process is done between the highly produced calves from the Holstein Friesian breed, originating in the Netherlands. Production Capacity of “Super Cows” These cows tends to produce 1.7 times more milk than the original breed of cows. They can produce 18 tons of milk  per year or 100 tons in their life time, which is 10.59 tones more than the average cow in United Nations in 2021, according to US Department of Agriculture.  The first cloned cow was firstly introduced on 30th December through cesarean section, which is relatively larger in size(120 Pounds). The cloning takes place through the ear cells of the highly productive cows. Scientists have so far cloned around 120 calves to “Super Cows”.     Super Cows For more updates keep visiting our website www.topstoriesworld.com  where we provide unbiased, true and top stories of the world.
