Nearly 2,500 Christians representing more than 79 churches gathered at the Jantar Mantar, New Delhi on Sunday (19th February 2023) and protested vehemently against the nationwide rise in violence against the Christian community.   3. 74 anti-conversion cases were filed against Christians in 2022, out of which 56 cases were filed in Uttar Pradesh alone depicting heavy targeting of the Christian community in this state.
  4. Denial of the facility of burial grounds and ration to Christians on the pretext of “ghar wapsi” (return to Hinduism) was also taken up as an issue.
