CAT 2023: IIM Opens Application Process - Here’s What You Need to Know

IIM has officially released the notification for CAT 2023, informing that candidates can begin the application process starting from August 2.


The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) has made the official announcement for the Common Admission Test (CAT 2023) on July 30. The application process for CAT 2023 will start on August 2, and candidates can submit their application forms until September 13.

Once the application process for CAT 2023 is open, candidates can apply through the official website at iimcat.ac.in. The IIM will conduct the computer-based Common Admission Test on November 26, 2023, in three sessions. Candidates have the opportunity to choose from approximately 155 test cities where the CAT examination will be held. 


Important Dates to Remember 


The registration process for CAT 2023 will commence on August 2 and will remain open until September 13. The admit cards for CAT 2023 will be released between October 25 to November 26.

The CAT 2023 exam is scheduled for November 26. The results of CAT 2023 are expected to be declared in the second week of January 2024. Upon the completion of CAT 2023, candidates can view their scores on the official website. However, these scores will only be relevant until December 31, 2024. 


For candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and PwD categories, the application fee is Rs 1200. For all other candidate categories, the application fee is Rs 2400. 


Eligibility Criteria


To be eligible for CAT 2023, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade. However, for candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories, the minimum score required is 45% instead of 50%.


The CAT 2023 exam is a mandatory requirement for those seeking admission into the management programs at the reputed IIMs.
