On Friday, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the outcomes for JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main 2023 Session 2

On Friday, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the outcomes for JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main 2023 Session 2, with a total of 43 aspirants securing 100 percentile in the combined merit list, which is determined based on their performance in both Session 1 and Session 2.

Of the 43 candidates who secured 100 percentile in the overall merit list of JEE Main 2023 Session 2, only one girl made it to the list. Session 2 had 9,31,334 student registrations, of which 8,83,367 candidates appeared for the exam, resulting in an overall attendance of 94.83 percent.

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), witnessed a record number of registrations for both sessions, with 6,29,000 students signing up to appear for the exams. The first session of the exam was held from January 24 to February 1, and the second session was conducted recently.

Session one of JEE Main 2023 saw the highest-ever attendance, with a remarkable 95.8 per cent of registered candidates appearing for the exam. Out of the total number of students who appeared for both sessions, 594,013 candidates gave both session one and session two
JEE Main 2023 Result Announced

Session one of JEE Main 2023 saw the highest-ever attendance, with a remarkable 95.8 per cent of registered candidates appearing for the exam. Out of the total number of students who appeared for both sessions, 594,013 candidates gave both session one and session two. Interestingly, the list of candidates also included five candidates belonging to the third gender category, of which only three appeared for both sessions.

In session one, 20 students secured a perfect 100 percentile, while in session two, 43 students managed to achieve this feat. However, it is noteworthy that out of the 43 students who scored a 100 percentile, only one of them was a girl. Despite this, the overall attendance in the second session was quite high at 94.83 per cent, with 8,83,367 students appearing for the exam out of the 9,31,334 students who had registered for it.

Last year's JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) session witnessed 24 candidates who secured a perfect 100 percentile in the overall merit list, considering both session 1 and 2 performances. However, out of these 24 candidates, only two were female students. The data revealed that 6,48,555 male students appeared in the JEE session while 2,57,031 female students took the exam. These figures indicate a significant gender gap in JEE participation. Efforts need to be made to encourage and facilitate more female students to take up STEM education and enter the engineering field.

In the previous year, the JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) witnessed a significant number of registrations with a total of 10,26,799 unique candidates registering for both sessions. However, out of these, only 9,05,590 unique candidates were able to appear for the two sessions of the exam. This shows that even though a large number of candidates registered for the exam, not all were able to take it, which may be due to various reasons such as difficulty in arranging transportation, financial constraints, or other personal reasons. The authorities must take these factors into consideration to ensure that every eligible candidate is able to take the exam without any obstacles.

The JEE Main exam is one of the most sought-after engineering entrance exams in India, and this year's results have once again shown the immense competition and dedication among students who aspire to pursue engineering. The high attendance and impressive performance by candidates in both sessions are a testament to the hard work and perseverance of these young minds, and it is expected that many of them will go on to become leaders in the field of engineering in the years to come.
