PM Remarks on Adani Group: -

Smriti Irani, Union Minister, has asked Indians to come together to respond to foreign powers that try to interfere in India's democratic process. This is after George Soros, a billionaire investor, stated that recent problems faced by Gautam's companies would encourage democratic revival in India. It is up to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to answer these questions." Irani called Soros’s comments a "declaration of destruction of India's democratic process" and asked Indians to provide a "fitting response." PM Remarks on Adani Group PM Remarks on Adani Group-PM Remarks on Adani Group The Union Minister accused Soros, a "economic war criminal", of declaring his ill-intentions towards India. She claimed that these powers seek to overthrow governments in other countries in order to keep their "hand-picked people" in power. Irani claims that Soros has declared funding of over one billion dollars, specifically to attack leaders such as PM Modi. She warned any political organization that might support Soros in his attack on PM Modi, stating that they will be exposed to the Indian electorate. Soros predicted that PM Modi would fall due to the business woes of Gautam Adani. His companies were hit hard by a stock market crash after Hindenburg, a US-based short seller, published a report accusing Adani group companies with stock manipulation. Soros noted that PM Modi was "silent" about the topic and would have to "answer questions" from parliament and foreign investors on allegations of stock manipulation and fraud at Mr. Adani’s industrial empire. PM Remarks on Adani Group PM Remarks on Adani Group Jairam Ramesh (senior Congress leader) said that Soros's comment was "nothing" to do with George Soros and that whether Adani controversy will "spark democracy revival" depends on Congress, India's opposition parties and India's electoral process. Shiv Sena leader Priyanka chaturvedi made a dig at Irani by questioning why the BJP held a press conference about Mr. Soros, and whether any comments were made on Israel's interference in India’s electoral process.
