News

The couple with Belgian passports were checking in from Ben Gurion International Airport and traveling back to Brussels, Belgium when they forgot to bring a ticket for their infant and left him at the check-in counter. According to sources, the family arrived late at the airport after the check-in counter had closed. The couple went to the security check because they were either unable to or unwilling to purchase a ticket for their child. Airport security was alerted as soon as the check-in agent noticed the baby was left in its baby carrier, and authorities rushed to get the passengers and detained them. According to the airline regulations, infants can be included during the online reservation process. A $27 surcharge is levied when an infant travels in an adult's lap on a one-way flight. Besides , certain special arrangements had to be made if the infant travels in a car seat. The parents along with the infant were reportedly taken away for questioning as airport security immediately searched for the passengers and detained them. Later, the issue was thoroughly investigated and the baby is now secure with its parents.

Conclusion

The Israeli Airport Authority validated the incident and clarified that a couple traveling on Belgian passports with an infant arrived late at Terminal 1 for the journey and did not have a ticket for the child. In an effort to get to the boarding gate, the couple left the car seat along with the baby and ran towards the security checkpoint. However the situation was eventually resolved by the police and the infant is now with his parents.    Security Check  Security Check For more updates keep visiting our website www.topstoriesworld.com where  we provide unbiased true, and top stories of the world.
