Army Colonel Attempted Suicide in Jabalpur A case has been reported from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, a colonel was found dead in the Army’s 1st Signal Training Center’s Officer’s Mess with a five letter suicide note left behind. The unfortunate incident took place on sunday. About The Colonel The officer Nishit Khanna who is from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh was posted as a CE in NTTR of NSTC. Since 25 October he resided in the officer’s mess at Sadar. His family lives in Officer Enclave, the accomodation is provided by the government to him. His wife also serves the army, as per the information received by the Bargi CSP Priyanka Shukla. Army Colonel Attempted Suicide Army Colonel Attempted Suicide Incident As per the report, his colleagues began to search him, when after multiple calls he did not respond to his senior officer, So, he  contacted a fellow officer who stayed with the colonel together. They saw his body when they looked through the room’ window. They rushed to the hospital but doctors after preliminary examination, declared him dead. The body is still in hospital for postmortem and will be handover to the family after they reach to Jabalpur. The deceased has wife, 15 years old daughter and a 12 years old son.   Army Colonel Attempted Suicide Army Colonel Attempted Suicide The suicide note written by him is a five pages note that only contained “SORRY”, speculation is that he attempted suicide due to personal reasons of the family as they stay in separate places. The case is registered and police is investigating the matter. The Cantt Police and the officers have started looking into the matter at their own level but the reason for such a step is still unknown.
