Amit Shah and Rahul Gandhi’s Political Stands Clash Head to Head

Through Rahul Gandhi’s tour to the UK, Rahul Gandhi repeatedly delivered an SOS message through his speeches with regard to the sinking of Indian democracy. Citing many instances such as no freedom of the press and an exceptionally weakened opposition, Rahul Gandhi’s contention has remained that the Modi rule is turning into a dictatorship rather than a democracy. Upon the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi, the Congress party termed it a political game and further reinforced that democracy was indeed in danger.

However, Home Minister Shah has now shot back at Rahul Gandhi. Amit Shah said, “The idea of one dynasty and politics promoting your (Gandhi) family is in danger. . . The autocracy of your family is in danger.” He even mentioned that Rahul Gandhi has only tried to snatch the faith that people hold in PM Modi by expressing false narratives.

Furthermore, he highlighted how the Congress party created a ruckus at the Parliament even though fair and justified legal action was taken against Rahul Gandhi by saying, “In the history of independent India, it has never happened that the Budget session ended without a sitting and discussion. . . What was the reason? Rahul Gandhi was disqualified as Lok Sabha MP.”

BJP v Congress: An Ongoing War

The BJP has been vehemently opposing Congress for a long time now. Earlier, Ravi Shankar Prasad had also spoken out against the Congress by stating, “Rahul Gandhi has tried to embarrass the country by saying that Europe and America should interfere in the internal affairs of India… He has sought to shame India’s democracy, India’s polity, India’s parliament, India’s judicial system, and her strategic security from a foreign land.” The voice of the Congress party Seems to have faded amidst the strong opposition by the BJP.
