Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on the Congress party and the previous Kamal Nath government during a 'Vijay Sankalp Sammelan' in Madhya Pradesh's Malwa region. Shah hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a "messiah of the poor" and a "strong leader" who prioritized national security.
Addressing BJP booth-level workers at Kankeshwari ground, Shah highlighted the Modi government's initiatives on national security. He criticized the UPA's approach towards Pakistan-sponsored terrorism during its rule and contrasted it with PM Modi's responses to incidents like Uri and Pathankot through surgical and air strikes deep inside Pakistan.
Shah praised PM Modi in August 2019, saying that the Congress had fostered Article 370 for 70 years, but that Modi's government has taken strong measures to reunite Kashmir with the rest of India. He also lauded Prime Minister Modi for his role in finally approving the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
The Home Minister highlighted the advantages of several high-profile programmes funded by the federal and state governments to the people of Madhya Pradesh. He said the former Kamal Nath government was corrupt and responsible for the cancellation of 51 welfare programmes for the needy that had been started under Shivraj Singh Chouhan in order to transfer funds for commission from contractors.

Shah further claimed that the Congress government failed to promote industrialization in MP, operating instead a "transfer industry" with the reshuffling of around 18,000 class-one officers. He credited the industrialization in the state to the efforts of the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government under PM Modi's leadership.
Amit Shah's speech served as the BJP's poll campaign launch in Madhya Pradesh's Malwa region, where he highlighted the achievements of the Modi government and criticized the previous Congress-led state government. His strong endorsement of PM Modi as a leader focused on national security and welfare initiatives aimed to rally party workers and gain support ahead of upcoming elections.
