Aftab Admits Strangling and Dismembering Shraddha Walkar, Delhi Court Hears

Vikas Walkar, the father of the late Shraddha Walkar, testified before a Delhi court about the confession made by Aftab Amin Poonawala. Poonawala allegedly admitted to strangulating Shraddha with his own hands, leading to her untimely demise.

Vikas Walkar's testimony shed light on the gruesome details of the crime committed in November 2022. After taking his daughter's life, Poonawala reportedly dismembered her body in a horrifying act and strategically disposed of the body parts across various desolate locations in Delhi to evade detection.

The heartbroken father recounted his visit to Mehrauli police station on the fateful day, where he positively identified Poonawala as the man his daughter had been in a relationship with for three years. He also informed the authorities about the frequent altercations and physical abuse that Shraddha endured during her relationship with Poonawala.

During the police interrogation, Poonawala denied any knowledge of a suspicious transaction from Shraddha's account, which occurred just two days after the tragic event.

Vikas Walkar expressed his shock and despair when Poonawala revealed the grim details of his daughter's death. Poonawala reportedly confessed to fighting with Shraddha at their Chhatarpur residence on May 18, 2022, and disclosed that he had strangulated her with his own hands.

Poonawala's confession continued, with Vikas stating that he learned of how the accused purchased tools, including a saw, two extra blades, and a hammer, to dismember Shraddha's lifeless body. He allegedly cut off her wrists and disposed of them in a polythene or trash bag.
