In the first phase, all district magistrates in the state will be required to select 50 panchayats in their respective districts, where cultural events are organised regularly, for the launch of the scheme, he said.

For this selection, panchayats which are already engaged with the cause of promoting cultural events will be given an upper hand. On a periodical basis, based on the performance of these panchayats, the Tourism Department and the Culture Committee will reward the panchayats  which perform well in the satisfaction of the goal of promoting cultural rural music.
