According to a notice released by the agency, Kejriwal was called to the CBI’s headquarters to testify as a witness inwitness in the excise policy case and answer questions from the investigating team.

In connection with the investigation, Manish Sisodia, Kejriwal’s former deputy in the Delhi government, was detained last month. The matter has been referred to as a plot against its leaders by the AAP.

The claims concern the excise policy of the Delhi government for 2021-2022. The CBI is looking into claims that alcohol dealers paid bribes to get licenses. Despite the AAP's vigorous denial of these accusations, the government later changed its mind about the proposal.
