Teenage Girls are unable to express their emotions, and they frequently act out severely, which can be harmful to their mental and/or physical health. This happened to a teenage girl who consumed 3 kg of her hair and whose intestines became so blocked that she was unable to consume any food. According to the incident reported from China, she had a disorder and had swallowed a hairball the size of a brick, which was then removed from her stomach by surgeons.

The South China Morning Post reported that the 14-year-old child was from the Chinese province of Shaanxi (SCMP). The gastroenterologist from Xian Daxing Hospital, Shi Hai, was in charge of her care. “She came to consult us as she was facing difficulty while eating. We then discovered that her stomach was filled with so much hair that there was no more room for food, and her intestine was also blocked," Shi Hai claimed.
The doctor discussed a condition known as Pica that caused her to become addicted to eating her hair. It is well-known that "left-behind children" are more likely to exhibit this abnormal desire to consume inedible and non-food items. According to the Chinese Ministry of Education, 13 million of all students between the ages of six and fifteen were rural children who had been abandoned by their parents.
A teenage girl was one of the many millions of children who were "left behind" in rural China. While her parents were away for work, she was raised by her grandparents as she was living with them.

“Her grandparents didn’t give much attention to her. They didn’t care what she was eating, and how she was living. It's possible that she had psychological problems for a long time. I, therefore, hope that parents can spend more time with the kids who got left behind in general," Shi continued.
It has been reported previously that children in China are suffering from Pica, so this is not entirely new. A 14-year-old girl who has been eating her hair for ten years had to have a massive hairball removed by doctors in Hubei province, according to SCMP.
